Welcome to the Rock City Falls Volunteer Fire Department
The Rock City Falls Fire Department is a 100% volunteer fire department that has been providing fire protection and emergency services to the Town of Milton and surrounding communities since 1940.
We operate out of two stations, with our main station located on Rock City Road in the hamlet of Rock City Falls and a second station located on Geyser Road in the Town of Milton.
We answer the call and are there when you need us, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

When I am called to duty, God, whenever flames may rage;
Give me the strength to save some life, whatever be its age.
Or save an older person from the horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout, And quickly and efficiently to put the fire out.
Rest easy brother Chuck Fiorino

Fire Safety Tips
Did you know that if a fire starts in your home you may have as little as two minutes to escape? During a fire, early warning from a working smoke alarm plus a fire escape plan that has been practiced regularly can save lives. Learn what else to do to keep your loved ones safe!
Smoke Alarms
Install smoke alarms on every level of your home, inside bedrooms and outside sleeping areas.
Test smoke alarms every month. If they’re not working, change the batteries.
Talk with all family members about a fire escape plan and practice the plan twice a year.
If a fire occurs in your home, GET OUT, STAY OUT and CALL FOR HELP. Never go back inside for anything or anyone.

Carbon Monoxide Alarms
Install carbon monoxide alarms to alert your family to this invisible, odorless, colorless gas before it’s too late. Carbon monoxide is created when fuels (such as gasoline, wood, coal, natural gas, propane, oil, and methane) burn incompletely. Even a small amount of carbon monoxide can poison or kill a person if it is breathed in over a long period of time – such as overnight while sleeping.

Have a Fire Escape Plan
Ensure that all household members know two ways to escape from every room of your home and know the family meeting spot outside of your home.
